The Hobby Guy Workshop

Layered Dolphins.

Completed

Laser Workshop GuildDiode Lasers Community

Using a pattern that I found on Etsy. I wanted to create a dolphin pattern to sell at a craft fair. I was drawn to this because of the thin cutouts.

Session 2

Engraving first test

Get each layer engrave/cut and record how long each layer took.

First Cut

Cutting and engraving things out-
Engrave: power 50. Speed 300
Cut: power 40. Speed 10 2 times
Layer 1 Red 30 cm x 30 xm. 4 mins
Layer 2 Green 30 cm x 30 cm 48 mins
Layer 3 Yellow 30 cm x 30 cm 49 mins
Layer 4. Purple. 30 cm x 30 cm. 42 mins

Diane, did I get this right? You did the design work in Lightburn and then exported to svg so you can import in to Aliencell Space. Then, used Aliencell Space to actually control the laser. That's what I've had to do with my last few projects on the Aliencell X1.

Have you done any testing controlling the X1 with Lightburn? I've got a number of issues with it and haven't quite found the solutions yet.

Yes, I haven't tried X1 with LightBurn. I use LightBurn because I can adjust the settings to my liking. I feel like I have more flexibility in LightBurn than I do in the Aliencell program.
